Art lovers, tourists, visitors to Accra’s vibrant arts market and members of the general public will have an opportunity to experience the creative process firsthand as artists participating in BEYOND CREATION: Humanity, Nature and Spirituality — A Universal Message take their artistic expressions beyond the gallery walls for a live painting session at the Accra Art Centre.
Scheduled for Saturday, 24 October 2026, at 3:00 p.m., the event will offer the public an opportunity to witness artists transforming ideas, emotions and inspirations into visual expressions in real time.
The live painting session seeks to bring art closer to the public by creating an interactive environment where visitors can observe artists at work, engage them in conversations and gain a deeper appreciation of the ideas, techniques and creative processes behind their works.
Beyond simply watching, members of the public will also be invited to participate, making the event an opportunity for shared creativity, cultural exchange and artistic discovery.
The initiative builds on the central themes of the BEYOND CREATION exhibition, which explores humanity, nature and spirituality as universal elements that connect people across cultures, backgrounds and geographical boundaries.
By moving artistic expression into a public space, the session is expected to make contemporary art more accessible while encouraging meaningful engagement between artists and the wider community.
The Accra Art Centre, a popular destination for arts, crafts and cultural experiences, provides a fitting setting for the gathering. Its vibrant atmosphere offers an opportunity to connect artistic expression with everyday public life, welcoming both dedicated art enthusiasts and those encountering the creative world for the first time.
Whether visitors are passionate about art, exploring Accra as tourists, shopping at the arts market or simply passing through, they are encouraged to join the session and experience creativity as it unfolds.
The event promises to demonstrate that art is not confined to finished works displayed on gallery walls; it is also a living process shaped by imagination, experimentation, dialogue and human connection.
